BIO

Aaron Bray is an Orlando-based filmmaker originally from Wisconsin. A musician since age 10, Aaron has always been an admirer of the creative arts. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in music before enlisting to be a linguist in the United States Army. Following the Army, Aaron worked many years as a Chinese language teacher before returning once again to his passion for the arts, this time as a filmmaker.

Aaron has fell into filmmaking through a series of events that began with rediscovering  a love for community theater and eventually making the leap to a career change. He recently earned his MFA in Film Production at Full Sail University.  Throughout his time at Full Sail, Aaron has worked on over 20 student and independent films, many of which he wrote, directed, produced, and starred in. He was the producer of his class thesis film, “Bad Magic,” which was recently accepted into the Super Geek Film Festival at Florida Supercon. While at Full Sail, he received the course director’s award in screenwriting.

Aaron has held previous careers as a U.S. Army sergeant/intel analyst, translator, and teacher, all of which combined have so far served him well in the film world. Aaron speaks fluent Mandarin and Japanese, and hopes future projects he creates will have an international appeal. In addition to his MFA, Aaron also has masters degrees in Business Administration and Education.

Aaron’s approach to filmmaking is a collaborative one, choosing to associate with talented artists, writers and crew members to realize a truly unique approach to visual storytelling.

Aaron plans to stay active in the Orlando arts community, continuing to work freelance as a screenwriter and content creator and work on film productions, with the ultimate dream of producing an independent feature.
